Convening global youth activists.

Ocean Heroes Bootcamp was conceived by Captain Planet Foundation and Lonely Whale with the goal of empowering the next generation of ocean health leaders. OHBC provided existing and emerging youth leaders an opportunity to come together to learn about plastic pollution and also to collaborate on the creation of campaigns to reduce plastic pollution.

The 3 day Bootcamp was led by both experts and peer mentors who had demonstrated success with past campaigns. The 2018 program was focused on one specific single-use plastic item: the plastic straw. Through the lens of this now iconic single-use item, the Ocean Heroes were taught the impact of microplastics and key campaigning skills to #beatplasticpollution.

We’re heading to Vancouver, Canada!
